Fresh off a food tour around LECOM Park in Bradenton, next stop on our concession chronicles is Camping World Stadium, which is currently home to the NCAA’s Citrus and Pop-Tarts Bowls, along with the XFL’s Orlando Guardians.

While we are making the jump from single-A baseball to big-time bowl games, stadium food is stadium food, right?

Well, given that there are probably many people who have still yet to check out an XFL game, let’s see how an extreme football presence might shakeup the food lineup a bit.

With that said, one thing to keep in mind—menus change often, especially with different events coming and going, I can’t say for certain these items will be at every event you attend at Camping World Stadium. Just doing my best to wrangle the food information I can find, because there doesn’t seem to be a lot of it out there.

Something Different

If you’re looking for something different than your typical hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and nachos, you might be interested in:

  • Mojo Grilled Chicken
  • Beef Tacos
  • Chicken Tinga Tacos
  • Sausage Po’boys
  • Beer Braised Brats
  • BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Menu Highlights

One thing you’ll find at a lot of sporting events that you typically won’t anywhere else is the mashup of different foods, or, your classics elevated to something a little more extreme or extravagant.

That holds true with the food at Camping World Stadium, where you can’t only get your basic hot dog, but one topped with pulled pork that has been smoked for 12 hours, along with baked beans, cheddar cheese, crispy onions, and a mustard BBQ sauce. That’s the Camping World Dog, by name.

Sticking with dogs, you can go a similar but different route with the Citrus Bowl Dog, which is covered in beef brisket, orange soda slaw (of course), grilled onions, and a horseradish sauce.

The Dog for the Cure is also topped with brisket, and slaw, albeit pink, BBQ sauce, and those crispy onions.

Sides and Snacks

There are two different types of fan foodies—those who pick a main entree and those who graze on snacks and the like.

For our grazers, Camping World Stadium offers boiled peanuts that have been spice-simmered for 24 hours. Honey-Jalapeno and Cheddar Cheese Cornbread might make for a nice side or a snack in itself. Horseradish Slaw sounds delicious as shaved green cabbage, carrots and green onions tossed in a sweet and sour horseradish dressing

Sweets and Desserts

Did I say there were two types of fan foodies? I meant three, and here’s a shout for out dessert lovers.

Fried Apple Pie S’mores Sundae – which I believe is in the bottom right photo of the tweet above – is made up of vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate sauce, cookie crumbs, and mini marshmallows on top of apple pie bites.
